Lafayette, LA-On Friday, February 19, the IceGators wore a special pink jersey.  The game worn jerseys were auctioned off following the game and the money raised went to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  The ‘Gators were able to raise $1,050.

“Breast cancer affects everyone,” stated assistant General Manager Ron Handy.  “I am so proud of the IceGator fans for showing their support for a good cause.  Without them we would not be able to raise $1,050.”

Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, is the global leader of the breast cancer movement.  Since the inception in 1982, $1.5 billion have been raised.  Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.  They are working to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.  They are the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.   

The ‘Gators hit the ice in Blackham Coliseum on Saturday, March 13 at 7:05 to take on the Huntsville Havoc.  With only two home games remaining do not miss any of the action.
